How Far Along: 10 weeks 1 day
Baby's Size: 1.5" the size of a prune
Total Weight Gain: 1 lbs
Maternity Clothes? I have reverted to wearing skirts everyday. At least I feel pretty!
Stretch Marks? No
Sleep? Broken. I wake daily around four am and cannot fall back to sleep. Whether it be the dogs laying on me or Jeremy and Eva's snoring. It just doesn't happen and I am left restless.
Best Moment this Week: Our 9 wk appointment with Dr. Medrano... you looked like a BABY! And you were showing off how fast you could move your hands and feet! Even the doctor exclaimed "Wow! This little one is moving!" :) your dad and I were smiling uncontrollably and I couldn't stop laughing.
Miss Anything? Scrambled eggs. Obviously its the one thing you do not want me to eat.
Movement: Nothing I can feel... yet!
Food Cravings: bagels, cinnamon toast crunch cereal and orange juice. You definitely prefer breakfast! (Just not Bitsy's contribution! )
What Makes you Queasy: scrambled eggs, chicken, and smelly things.
Gender: No idea!
Labor signs? None
Symptoms: queasy, sleepy, puffy, bloaty, you name it and I got it.
Wedding Rings On or Off? On
Mood: tired.
What's the Daddy-to-be Doing? hiding in the other room watching Merlin while we watch the Disney movie marathon on abc family! So far weve seen peter pan, mulan and cinderella!
Notes to the Little One: We were so shocked by the amount you had grown in two weeks... from a raspberry to a baby with hands and feet and moving around like crazy! After the doctor exclaimed that you were moving, you started showing off for us! Turning about and waving. You made us giggle with delight. We can't wait to meet you and watch you grow!

WEEK 10: What's Happening
WEEK 9 : What's Happening
How Far Along: 9 weeks 1 day
Baby's Size: prune (1.5")
Total Weight Gain: 0.5 lbs
Maternity Clothes? pants
Stretch Marks? No
Sleep? Lots of strange dreams. Waking with a dying thirst last night! I drank all of mine and Doveys water!
Best Moment this Week: having time to rest because its a holiday weekend. (Memorial Day)
Miss Anything? I am totally confused about what I am not supposed to eat. Every site says something different. I really miss summer salads (like potato macaroni and egg salad) which are off the list because of the mayo. I recently heard of veganaise... mayo without raw eggs! Im gonna try it. Maybe I can get Crescent to whip me up a batch of potato salad with it. Lol. Though that might bring questions. Only 3 more weeks until I can tell her!
Movement: zip
Food Cravings: Bagels. Oatmeal. Fruit. Egg salad (really gotta get that fake mayo!) As for aversions definitely BLUEBERRIES. Dovey however is craving them so he thinks its fun to eat a blueberry bagel or blueberry ice cream near me and I just want to hurl. Never minded them before but they are gross right now.
What Makes you Queasy: I'm usually okay (nauseous of course but not too bad) unless I miss my meal times. Ive been eating something every 4 hours and that seems to help. Except Thursday when I took Dove to his physical. It took a lot longer than expected and by the time we aten it had been six hours and though I tried it didnt help. The first time I lost my cookies in a public restroom. Not fun. Jeremy said I looked like a Zombie.
Gender: No idea!
Labor signs? None
Symptoms: I have been wearing a maternity bra around the house to help with the pain and swelling. It's basically a loose breathable sports bra that gives support but doesn't confine. Im pretty sure im a whole cup size larger and its only month 2. This sucks! Other than that I'm still nauseous, exhausted all the time and sore all over. My arms keep falling asleep. (It happened in my bloodwork appointment as well and the man had to remove the elastic and make me pump my fist to fill the vials... Never had to do that before.) I've also become very thirsty of late and I always have a salty taste in my mouth.
Wedding Rings On or Off? On
Mood: exhausted and sore.
What's the Daddy-to-be Doing? Last week he was freaking out over his blood test and physical. He about gave me a hernia. We ended up getting valium from the dr and he took it on the way to the lab. I told him he needs to work on this over the next few months because there is no way I'm going to let my kid be as bad as that. Not happening.
Notes to the Little One: I think the dogs are catching on... I wonder if they can hear your heart beat! Theyre favorite place to sit is with their little heads on my abdomen looking up at me. They've been following me around a little frantic too and when I stay in bed they come in to check on me five or six times. Your gonna have instant friends when you get here!

WEEK 8: What's Happening
Baby's Size: a green olive... about 1" long
Total Weight Gain: 0.5 lbs
Maternity Clothes? Only bottoms for comfort.
Stretch Marks? No
Sleep? Anxiety dreams abound. The last one I was at a beach house and when the tide would come in it would take everything back with it. And it was filled with stairs. I hate stairs.
Best Moment this Week: The appointment with Dr. Medrano. We had my first ultrasound and the baby looked like a raspberry in a circle of darkness. We did see the little heart beating. It's too soon to hear it but I go back in 2 weeks. He thinks I'm pretty accurate on my due date but wants me to come back every 2 weeks until we can confirm it. BUT! He did confirm that there is just ONE little Sawyer in my belly. [Phew! Dad was happy with that verdict]
Miss Anything? I still miss champagne. Im going to find a Mocktail recipe!
Movement: Nothing...
Food Cravings: Fruit and cauliflower. BRC burritos from EPL
What Makes you Queasy: still no chicken though I was able to eat orange chicken from Panda. Guessing it's because I didn't prepare it and it doesn't look like chicken.
Gender: No idea!
Labor signs? None
Symptoms: No more vomiting but the queasiness is never ending. Sense of smell in insane which doesnt help the queasi bit. Ive grown about a cup size on top. Its only 8 weeks so im a bit worried about that part. Hopefully it slows down. Dr says the electric shock therapy is my uterus pressing on my ligaments as it grows. Though not unheard of its usually not felt this early. He said im very in tune with my body.
Wedding Rings On or Off? On
Mood: A little ansy. Planning the big reveal. Its really fun to have a surprise!
What's the Daddy-to-be Doing? Stressing. He was supposed to have his blood taken for his physical this week but he just couldn't do it. He spent so much time at the doctors in childhood that he is terrified of blood draws. Doctor said day of the physical he will give him valium and take it at the office. I have to take off work to drive him. I used to do it with my daddy so its not that hard for me to fathom but he is much worse than daddy. I thought he would pass out. The doctor asked him if he needed apple juice!
Notes to the Little One: We got to see you for the first time this week. The blinking of your heart is a good sign! Though I said you were a raspberry in a circle of darkness I know that isnt the case. The pictures they can take of you at this stage appear that way. Thanks for listening to my request for no more vomiting. .. this week has been much better! Were 2/3s of the way through the first trimester! Just 4 more weeks! We cant wait to tell everyone how excited we are to meet you!

WEEK 7: What's Happening
Baby's Size: a raspberry! The app says you are a half of an inch!
Total Weight Gain: 0.5 lbs probably due to the new cracker/pretzel intake.
Maternity Clothes? I get lots of compliments on my skinny cords. I love my old navy maternity tee too. Everything else is just too big.
Stretch Marks? No
Sleep: Yesterday I fell asleep on the couch. J was mad because I had told him earlier no napping. Lol I guess I was exhausted, too.
Best Moment this Week: Mother's day brunch at Vitellos. The waitress asked if I was a mom and I got to tell her I was expecting! Also finding out I could have cocoa while camping was good news... It was cold!
Miss Anything? passed our sushi place yesterday. And ive also been missing gorgonzola mac n cheese from Salt Creek. So many of my favs are off limits now at SCG!
Movement: Nothing yet...
Food Cravings: Fig Newtons. I hadn't had them since I was 10 or so but I could taste them. J picked some up and they were just what I needed. (Perhaps I needed some fiber?) They were delicious!
What Makes you Queasy: I can't even look at chicken anymore. The Jack Daniels marinade on our camping steaks was gross. Yesterday my grilled cheese. A little bit of everything.
Gender: No idea!
Labor signs? None
Symptoms: This morning was the first time I've vomited. I've been queasy for the last few weeks but nothing that severe until today.. however yesterday I couldnt finish my grilled cheese. (I thought my world was ending!) Still lots of abdomen pain and the electric shock therapy feeling.
Wedding Rings On or Off? Off for camping but back on today.
Mood: Anxious. I'm ready for the next step but don't know what it is until we visit Dr. Medrano on Wednesday.
Looking Forward to: hearing a heartbeat!
What's the Daddy-to-be Doing? Stressing. He had to share the news with his boss a little earlier than planned because they scheduled a last minute office move... (normally takes a month to setup) for the day of our appointment.
Notes to the Little One: You survived your first camping trip! It was beautiful at Leo Carrillo. We sat on the beach for a few hours and watched the waves. We watched the wind nearly flatten our tent. We sat by the campfire and made Fudge Striped cookie S'mores! It was alot of fun. (Eva hated every minute of it. She pined for the car the whole time... and then JUMPED from the car when a St Bernard waltzed through our campsite. Yes... Eva is one crazy Dare-D'EVA.) We also schemed on how we could take you camping next year. :) We may have to rent an RV but we do so love camping and can't wait to start making these memories with you!
